ACCOMMODATION and FACILITIES
* 4 bed-rooms, 4 bathrooms. Accommodates 6-8 people and has four staff including a cook to look after you.
* Three spacious terraces, a seating place at the cliff and a nature pavilion offer many alternative seating and dining places.
* Long swimming pool.
* Tunnel to the soft sandy beach.
* Unguja House is constructed in a way every room gets a breeze at all times and is protected against too much wind.
*Ventilators also available in each room.

* Permanent water supply from private well, hot water from solar system with power backup inverter.
* Freshly caught Fish, Prawns and Lobster can be purchased directly from the fishermen in the Creek.

Ground Floor: Elegant Swahili indoor living and dining room; large outdoor veranda and patio
with seating and dining area.
One bedroom with small terrace, one bathroom and a spacious kitchen

First Floor: Large open terrace overlooking the garden, forest and patio.
Makuti covered dining area and Arab style seating.
Master bedroom with large ensuite bathroom and

Second Floor: Large roof terrace overlooking the Ocean, the Creek and the forest.
Makuti roof covered lounge area with Swahili day beds; bathroom with closet (sleep on the roof terrace!)

Location
The house is located 3 km from the main Mombasa-Malindi road on Kilifi Plantation directly at
the sea and the mouth of the Takaungu Creek. It is also next to the famous Finch Hatton house and
beach, known from the book and film ‘Out of Africa’. Both Mombasa and Malindi are 60km
away. The district town Kilifi is 5km away from the house and offers a fruit and vegetable market,
fish and meat shops, a Tusky’s supermarket and various restaurants.

Activities
* Large (18x4m)Swimming Pool, ideal for swimming lengths or just relaxing in.
* Swim in the sea or in Takaungu Creek (Great for exploring)
* Cliff jumping possible at high tide (10 m – the brave ones do it!)
* Lawn for badminton or ball games
* Walking, running or biking on the plantation ( 3 Mountain bikes available)
* Yoga on the roof terrace (2 yoga mats available)
* Explore the historical fishing village of Takaungu on the other side of the Creek.
* Take a stroll on the beach or use the foot ferry to the village.
* Dhow trips into Kilifi Creek can be organised
* Sailing, wind surfing or diving can be organised with Mnarani Club (10 min drive)
* Visits to historical site of Mnarani ruins (15 min drive)
