Takaungu Reach is located between Kilifi Creek and Takaungu Creek,
on Kilifi Plantation overlooking the sea. The house built 14 years ago
by its current owners is of swahili design built around an internal courtyard that benefits from
sea breezes. The house has a garden overlooking the sea and has its own tunnel which gives
access to the sea and a beautiful sandy beach -
about a 2 minute walk (tide permitting).

The house has 4 double bedrooms, and can comfortably sleep 8.

Upstairs: 2 doubles and 1 twin all en-suite with sea views, master bedroom also has a bath.

Downstairs: 1 double with adjacent shower and toilet.  An additional two children can be
accommodated on camp beds in any of the bedrooms.

There is a washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave.

There is a TV/DVD player. There is an automatic battery backup system that can provide 4-6 hours of power in the event of a power cut.

A comprehensive security system with electric fence and hardwired alarm buttons is connected directly to KK Security.

The house also has wifi.

The house is very child friendly and also has a 12m pool with steps at the shallow end making it ideal for children.

There are nice walks round to Takaungu when the tide is out, which can be combined with a visit to Zinj,
which is a leather workshop and sells beautiful beaded bags, shoes, belts etc.
